25 meters long and 9 meters wide, The Silver Coast has been specially designed to navigate the Arcachon Bay, in shallow waters, while being able to cross the passes and sail to the ocean. With engines to new anti-pollution standards, it can, when weather conditions permit, navigate sails in addition to its conventional engine. The result is a very low environmental impact compared to its size and ability.

Le Côte d'Argent offers several Boat Tours at the heart of the Bay of Arcachon. A project, an innovation

For a long time, the idea to run a boat of big capacity trotted in the head of certain boatmen worried of evolving within their activity. Especially as " Atlantic-Princess ", big symbolic boat, had left a space by leaving waters of the Pond.

After a long wait, under the leadership of Pierre-François Delpy, a group of boatmen began to work on a project that has emerged with the development of a very precise schedule of charges should take account the specificity of the Arcachon Basin, while meeting a new tourist demand. A real challenge since it was to find a type of vessel capable of carrying more than 200 passengers across the pool with a mode of propulsion environmentally friendly, all to answer the obvious criteria comfort and aesthetics.

Having made the tour of the local construction sites, a search on a national scale allowed to find the one person in a million finally. Very renowned construction site Of Rovère to Saint-Mandrier had innovated by building maxi two catamarans sail and engine already in service in Cannes and in Corsica. These boats which respected the quoted criteria higher seduced at once the shareholders of the quite new shipping company ABC (Arcachon Bassin Croisière). From then on, Le Côte d'Argent, third maxi catamaran of this generation, entered under construction to be delivered to spring, 2015.

From the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean, the conveying between Toulon and Arcachon via Gibraltar was confided to a skipper experimented in the person of Guillaume, current captain of Côte d'Argent. During these ten days of navigation, the performances of the boat exceeded the expectations in particular under sails with points of speed exceeding 20 knots. It is escorted by a band of dolphins of the Bay of Biscay where Le Côte d'Argent crossed master keys to be welcomed in waters of the Arcachon Bay by the flotilla of the boatmen.

Finally, on May 24th, 2014, Sophie Davant, godmother of Côte d'Argent, broke the traditional bottle of champagne so baptizing the biggest hybrid catamaran of France...
